Calculation methodology
Every result should show its basis.
PullWorx separates sourced facts, standards-based values, operating practices, estimates, and unknowns so a procurement team can understand what a result means before relying on it.
Confidence classes
- PMD — Published Manufacturer Data: values attributed to a manufacturer publication.
- PIS — Published Industry Standard: values attributed to a recognized published standard.
- DBP — Distributor Best Practice: operational guidance based on distributor practice, not a governing standard.
- EE — Engineering Estimate: a calculated or modeled value that requires professional review.
- UNK — No Published Data: the source is absent or insufficient; PullWorx keeps the value unresolved.
What the engines evaluate
The current workflow can evaluate conductor and reel configuration, published or advisory reel capacity, conduit fill, voltage drop, estimated weight, packaging, and procurement readiness. The commercial workflow evaluates scope coverage and recorded commercial terms such as pricing, freight, tax, lead time, alternates, and clarifications.
Standards posture
PullWorx’s internal reference tables include material transcribed from NEC Chapter 9 tables and selected manufacturer publications. Transcription into software is not independent code-book verification and does not create a compliance determination. Users must confirm results against the current adopted code, project documents, manufacturer literature, and authority having jurisdiction.
Manufacturer data
Manufacturer catalogs change. A value may be superseded, product-specific, regional, or absent for a requested configuration. PullWorx surfaces the source class and required confirmation rather than treating an old or incomplete table as permanent authority.
Human review remains required
PullWorx supports procurement decisions; it does not replace the engineer of record, electrical code review, manufacturer confirmation, field verification, or the contractor’s approval process. No calculation should be used to release material without the project’s required professional review.
